Expanding Our Mission Beyond Dogs

CARE first began as a way to help veterinarians and dog owners better understand canine osteoarthritis (OA). While OA in dogs is often mistaken for “slowing down,” it’s usually easier to recognize when they aren’t feeling their best. Cats, however, are far more challenging.

Experts at hiding pain, feline discomfort may only appear through subtle changes such as:

  • Hesitating Before Jumping
  • Avoiding Stairs
  • Sleeping In New Spots
  • Grooming Less

That’s why our mission has grown to shine a light on OA in cats by helping pet owners and professionals recognize the earliest signs of pain and mobility issues.
